Movie Maddness Mondays “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”

Hey Guis! Binks and Taylor here!

(So Binks and I have decided to pull a Tabby and basically give just a ‘review’ on the movie opposed to a description.. because the trailer *above ^^* is description and awesomness enough)

Benjamin Button… you will laugh you will cry and make sure to bring glue because your heart may just break in two (we are poets and we sure know it). Binks basically wants to say “Brad was hot *drools* and that the movie was awesome and that and it’s got Cate Blanchett so it must be amazing”… but I AM FORCING her to say more. Oh and also she also says “oh and the fact that a baby is born old and ages in reverse from senile, to adult to toddler has nothing of interest whatsoever for anyone because the fact that Brad is in it should be enough”. If you haven’t figured it out already we are doing this via AIM (hurrah for AIM).
On the other hand, I (Taylor Nikole) thought this movie was amazing for its content… yep! and not Brad Pitt. Personally, I don’t think he’s very cute… although make him look 17 and put him on a motorcycle with shades and I’m in awe (which they did by the way.. but just for two seconds). The makeup jobs were amazing, and the dialogue and the acting and I could probably babble on forever, but I won’t.
and binks says: (you guis writing a review together was harder than we thought because we both have our opinions so bear with us)

HEY! hey! woaaahhh I can have depth and stuff…possibly…. :P Taylor makes me sound like a rabid teen girl >_> ANYWAYS. Yes, the movie was incredible -Did we mention that already?- It’s a long movie, therefore be prepared to buy a tub of popcorn with a lot of butter and salt, some skittles, goobers, a pretzel, some nachos with extra cheese….and a diet coke (of course) :D (don’t worry you will have more than enough time to digest in between snacks)

It’s a story about life, plain and simple. There is love and loss, adventure and lessons. I think the uniqueness of the movie is the obvious, that Benjamin Button (aka Brad Awesomeness Pitt) is aging backwards, but its the fact that despite his bizarre phenomena he manages to still capture the same essence and beauty that life has to offer, or maybe even more so because he’s unique. But enough about Brad, I think Taylor has focused too much on him :P the wonderful and incredibly talented Cate Blanchett is the partner to this movie’s tango and delivers an incredible performance of Daisy, Benjamin’s girl. Here’s a fun fact for ya, this movie is based on the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, writer of The Great Gatsby (has an affinity for Daisy’s now doesn’t he? O.o) C’mon, if the fact that Oscar winner Cate Blanchett isn’t enough to attract you to theatres, then a dude who is old at age 8 and a baby at age 70 has GOT to count for something right? The fact that the movie itself was nominated for five golden globes means that it probably has a pretty fair shot at an Oscar (which would be rad!), but then again maybe not… so lets hope for the best.

Dudes! If you haven’t seen this movie… go see it! I mean seriously, it won’t be a disappointment at all! (unless you are my chem teacher *this is taylor speaking* who said the movie sucked, leading me to argue against his opinion… Yes, I argued an opinion)

Love,
The Midget Squad

@ Taylor & Binks – This review is awesome! lol. Great energy between the two of you. I think this was a good idea…the back and forth.

I watched it, and I’m just “Eh” about it. I think the most interesting parts were the beginning and the end. They could’ve condensed the middle a bit. That movie was looong. ;)

And ok…I can see why people like Brad Pitt so much, but I honestly don’t see what the big deal is. I’m going to run away now before Binks throws something at me. ;)

Hello everybody,
Congratulations Taylor Nikole and Binks, your review is amazing.
The movie is not appeared in France yet, but I really want to see it. :)

I don’t know if you have already chosen the film for the next Movie Maddness Monday, but I recommend you “Fight Club”. It’s another register, maybe more hard but it’s really great. :)
… and Brad Pitt is also really amazing.

xoxo
PS: I shall be delighted to make the next review. :) If you want of course. I don’t know how it works for doing the review but I shall very much like to try.

HUGE KISSES

hello again,
I recommend you greatly “Shooting Dogs” too. It’s an overwhelming movie which talks about the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 between Hutu and Tutsi . It’s very moving.

xoxo
