At Colorado’s popular Vail ski resort, a bizarre malfunction with the chairlift caused this ill-fated soul to dangle upside-down, pantless, in the cold, for at least 7 minutes, possibly as long as 15.  I don’t quite understand the physics of what happened here…the sequence of events that led to the removal of this skier from his pants, but stranger things have happened.  The only reason he didn’t fall to the ground was that his right ski got jammed in the chairlift.
