Toys I Didn’t Have

I played with LEGOs a lot when I was a kid.  Ah memories.  Anyway, the techie youngsters nowadays get to have LEGO cameras and LEGO walkie-talkies.  Should I be jealous?

But some kids out there might think that LEGOs are lame.  I would probably not get along with these kids.  But whatever.  Maybe they’re more into mastering The Force, like in Star Wars.  For these kids, there’s the Force Trainer.

The user wears a headset that uses brain waves to manipulate a ball within a clear tube.  The more you focus, the higher the ball will rise.

Someone better tell Luke Skywalker that he’s gonna have some competition soon.

I refuse to throw away my old box of Legos! Not only are they handy when we have younger visitors, but I always thought one day I’d like to build a gigantic lego… something. Like a dude or a house or something else big. :)

All these LEGO peepz! We should start a club. ;) What did y’all used to build? I used to build houses, with all the rooms inside. That’s the only thing I can remember.

@ superkurre – Keep the dream alive! One day, you shall build that giant LEGO dude/house/thingie. ;)

@ Kathy- Hahahah, nah. You know those little kit things with the instructions? They totally take the fun out of it, but meh. Maybe I was the lame one hahaha.

Kathy you and Tabby would probably love the amazing techy-ness of something called the Emotiv-Epoch helmet, the website is emotiv.com . It’s like the force trainer but for a computer, you can actually manipulate things with it online (when it finally comes out for public use).

Lego is awesome, my brother and I used to build little villages with it. The imagination can go to great lengths with a humongous tub of lego! Love it, miss it, want to be a kiddy again!

love legos, although i remember getting annoyed about the lego characters not being able to move their limbs apart because i wanted them to ride the horse properly.

and wow toys these days, someday kids will be picking up their pencils with the force.

Ohhh Legos. Good times. I still break them out on occasion when I have an excuse… like babysitting kids. Which isn’t often enough. My older brother and I built spaceships. Mine was always cooler. Maybe that’s why we always ended up in a Lego and Beanie Baby war and my ship always got broken. =/
