A woman in California delivered 8…that’s right, EIGHT…babies yesterday morning.
The babies were 9 weeks premature, but they’re doing well so far. This is only the second time in U.S. history that a woman has delivered 8 live babies. If all of them make it out of the hospital okay, then they would be the first set of octuplets to survive delivery in the U.S.
Just to give you an idea…you have a better chance of being struck by lightning than to deliver 8 babies.
Funny story…everyone thought there would be only 7. The eighth one was a surprise. The doctor thought his assistant was joking when he said he still felt a foot in the womb after the first 7 had already been delivered.
That mom sure is a trooper, as are her little ones. And I thought NYC apartments were cramped.
The article.
