Another one from Allie!  But it’s untitled, and she’s asking for suggestions.  So suggest away in comments!

******************************

Wednesday (3/25):  Taylor will post the submissions for Photo project #4 (curves).  Click the link for details.  Send your stuff to wither99broom@photos.flickr.com.  Remember that you can submit multiple photos, but you can only send 1 photo per email.  If your photo has a title, enter that as the subject of the email.  If your photo has a description, enter that in the body of the email.

Monday (3/30):  G will review All I Wanna Do (Strike!) for Movie Madness Monday.  Yeah G!  And Binks is doing something with that too, but I dunno what.  It’s a mystery.  Click the link for the trailer.  And watch the doggone movie doggonit!  If you want to review a movie, let me know (kathy at girlsbydesign dot com).

Wednesday (4/15):  Kailin will post the submissions for her first Writingcise workshop (We Are Women).  That’s plenty of doggone time, so write something doggonit!  Click the link for details.  Send your stuff to kailin at girlsbydesign dot com.

Thursday (?):  Mari will periodically post the submissions for the Call Me Hope/Hands project.  You know you want to pledge.  You knooooow iiiiiiiit!  Click the link for details.  Send your pledges to marianne at girlsbydesign dot com.

For info on more projects, click the Projects link at the top.  Or click here if you’re too lazy.

my science teacher used to go:
“questions… comments… haiku poetry?”
and no one would answer
so he would move along with his lessons
until one day some kid got up after he said haiku poetry
and recited one :D
muahah best day ever

I think thats a pic of a wishing bug. At least thats what we used to call it when I was young.
It flies around in the air and you catch and make a wish. Then blow it away after your wish. I dont think it sticky.

I want to leave you a comment about your site. It is very confusing and there isn’t an organized way to direct people. I would like to come here more often, but lose interests after a few minutes. You should go over to HuffingtonPost and look at how they set up their site. This way you will be able to get more and more people coming and in and staying in and returning. The major problem with this site is that it has no main page directing people to different areas. As it is now, it is a mess and doesn’t invite people to come back.

I would sincerely recommend that you go over to the HuffingtonPost or DailyKos to see how they set up their websites. You really have a good idea and there are a lot of people who are interested and would like to come back regularly. You have to make it inviting for them to come back all the time. As it is now, there is no real motivation and this site is now set up in a way that could not invite participation or interaction. The color “black” is all wrong for the site. I have taken the time to give you sincere feedback and I hope you will at least evaluate the merit of what is conveyed.

Why am I always the only one digging graves? Why are all the threads always deserted after like 3 days? Am I getting old? Who will answer me these questions?

That picture looks awesome! You are extremely talented. Im interested in art too, so im wondering what media did you use to make that?

Allie

@Emma-Lu- Thank you so much! I love the name btw! It’s perfect! About buying stuff, I actually don’t have original copies of them, because most of them end up being digital files, but I suppose if you really wanted a print I could post them on zazzle or something, and you could buy prints through there! :)

@Kendra- Thanks! It is a bit sad, I don’t know where that comes from, but a ton of my pics have a very melancholy feel. It could be that I’m introverted, and tend to internalize any sadness/emotion I’m feeling, so it just comes out sometimes when I do art, lol.

@kristina- This is actually a pencil drawing that I scanned in and colored digitally, I do a lot of my art that way as I don’t have patience for ACTUAL painting. Sometimes I’ll color my stuff using colored pencils, or markers, but a good majority is digital coloration. :) Here’s a link to the original pencil drawing, http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n345/Toasterloh/drawing3023.jpg
