Boa noite, GbD!

As promised in my previous post, here is the second part of my Mursday. I want to talk about the Hands project, and what you can do to help it.  I learned about it when reading Call Me Hope – and by the way, 10% of all of the book’s income is being donated to the Hands Project. It is a non profit organization that was founded back in 1997 (holy, can you believe that was over a decade ago?!). Basically, their goal is to make a difference in stopping abuse and violence. They’ve partnered up with a bunch of schools, and even government agencies, business community, places of worship, shelters, correctional facilities etc etc, throughout the USA and 10+ other countries!

Soo anyway, today Brit and I took their pledge, and I had this awesome idea: how about you guys do it as well?! It’s very simple, and I have pictures to show!

Then imprint it on a white sheet of paper!

Don't forget it gets sticky, so hold on to your paper as you get your hand off of it

Then you write your name and age down on the paper. You don't have to write the pledge down, but you can if you want to.

Then put it somewhere as a reminder of the promise you made to think twice before saying nasty things!

Make sure it's YOUR pledge though.... in the midst of taking pictures, we didn't realize I was holding up Brit's pledge... duh!

Better!!

Ta da! Now wasn't that easy?!

If you do decide to take the pledge, please e-mail me pictures at marianne@girlsbydesign.com ! Oh, and by the way – you don’t have to use purple paint! Just make sure you use purple paper and trace your hand on it… or just trace your hand and then color it in with purple crayons!

I would love to see you all participate, and I’ll put the pictures up a couple of weeks from now on another Mursday (I’ll do a double post again ).
