Brainercise: Danny edition version 1.0

Yo yo yo GBD!  For last week’s brainteaser, I agree with DeannaRochelle and Ayman Moshen.  There are other answers, but they vary only in the sequence of who crosses, but as foretold said, there will be a minimum of 7 crossings.  Roma was clever and proposed that Taylor eat all of the pudding before crossing the river, but since Taylor’s diminutive stature is near legendary, she might explode after eating all that pudding.  ;)

For this week’s brainteaser, Danny the Only Bloke came through with the following:

The same sequence of letters fills each of the 3 blanks in the following sentence.  What is the sequence of letters?

The _____ surgeon was _____ to operate because she had _____ to operate on.

Thanks Danny!

ROFLOL

Snap Crackle and Pop????

That ain’t 1 sequence of letters!

I’ll make it easier, it’s 1 ‘word’ but depending on how you look at it it can be several combinations of 2 words as well. The order of the letters never changes tho.

I know it’s gotta be some kind of closed form compound word, like “together” (which can be split up into “to”, “get” and “her”) but I can’t for the life of me figure it out!

@Audrey, you’re on the right track, keep going

One word that came to my mind is “patient” since it can mean both someone that doctors take care of, or not being impatient. “The patient surgeon was patient to operate because she had patient to operate on” sounds a bit weird but maybe if another form of the word is used?? Or maybe I’m completely wrong?

@eddy

That ISN’T the answer, but it DOES work, well done, have some spiffy points
