Caitlin Crosby’s New Album ~Flawz

How can I describe the new full-length album for Caitlin Crosby? In this way. She is an amazing lyricist, and has amazing voice, which combines into making great musical masterpieces.

Many people have compared her to Colbie Caillat, but I beg to differ. Caitlin sounds like a combination of a raspy Janis Joplin voice and poetic Alanis Morissette lyrics. It’s like you just put two amazing musicians in a blender and created a Caitlin Crosby smoothie. Caitlin’s vocals falls almost to a whisper at some points and to a throaty yell at others, and the album is just a pleasure to listen to. n621215538_2140372_9332
The album “Flawz” has 3 songs from her first EP and 9 brand new songs. When you see this album the title in itself hooks you “FLAWZ”, why? Because we all have Flawz; no one is perfect. This album was inspired by the passion that both Caitlin and her best friend Brie Larson have for people loving themselves for who they are. From the passion they had, Caitlin & Brie created an amazing website where people join together and share what their “flawz” are.

Everyone can find a song to relate to on the album, as so many of these have may have already happened to us. The song “Generation” does a good job of explaining that we need to take care of the generation we are living in. As far-reaching as this album is, I feel it is especially relevant to girls. This is album is for any girl that has ever been in love and gone through self-esteem issues. This album shouts “GIRL POWER”.

Caitlin is really the most awesome girl! She’s one of the most self-assured young ladies I’ve ever met. Funny, adorable, and really cool – you will love her and her new brand of smart, original music (which she writes herself btw)!!!

I agree with you Kendra, when I first listened to her CD, the first artist I thought of was Alanis Morissette. And she is an amazing artist, I bought her songs on iTunes. My favorites are “Today,” “Flawz,” and “Finding Feelings.”
