Challenge: Smile Connection

FINALLY! First post for the GBD blog I’ve ever done, and what better way to start than with the simplest challenge I could come up with?

Oh the wonders smiling can do for you! :D Smile! Keep on smiling! Have you any idea of the wonders smiling can do to your life? You’re just a few facial movements away!

Inspiration Flows through a Smile!
Very true! When you smile at someone you’re actually sending a positive message that can change this person’s mood! This person can actually go about exchanging the same positive message to someone else which can continue the chain of endless smiles! YAY!

SMILE=STRESS FREE!
By smiling or laughing you release the “chillin’” hormones that make you feel good and relaxed that are known in the scientific world as endorphins (these are responsible for the runner’s high too!). If you’re running short on time to hit the gym just smile or laugh to call up the endorphins party! :D

Immunity!
Studies over the years have shown that keeping an upbeat attitude with smiles and laughter can boost your immune system reducing the risks for everything from the flu to cancer! (Another tip to keeping you free from cancer! SMILE!) What better medication than smiling or laughing? Right?

Stay Young, Stay Pretty!
Yup! Did you know that frowning and staying angry takes many more muscles than the muscles it takes to smile and laugh? So keep away from spending millions in face lift in a few years, just start smiling often, now how does that sound?

And…seeing how smiling can be contagious, (yeah, have you seen how when you smile at someone they smile back? Or if not, then that person’s not feeling okay that day) let’s make a little teensy weensy challenge. How about you try making someone smile? But not just one, just about as many as you can! I DARE you to try the Smile Connection Challenge! What is it?

Challenge: How many people can you make smile in a day? 1? 2? 20? How many?!
Please go ahead and try it! And when you’re done with that, please post it on a comment and we’ll see who makes smile the most! :D TA-DA!

You could have people take a pic with them. =P

Jenipher

April 15, 2009

@ Ash: All we can do is trust in the good in people to be honest and tell the truth.

LOL Although it would be fun to take pictures with strangers and then make a box with pictures of strangers and myself. Yeah….that would be VERY awkward and creepy LMAO.

Jenipher

April 15, 2009

We were supposed to count? Hahaha.

Kathy

April 15, 2009

Yeah…we were supposed to count? lol. I don’t know how many people I made smile. It’s hard to tell because a lot of people make me smile too. :)

Whoohoo to your first post Jenipher!

P.S. – Marcus is disqualified. Babies have an unfair advantage. No fair.

taylor nikole

April 15, 2009

pfttt
don’t do that to marcus
we can always go for a 2nd place

Kathy

April 15, 2009

You think just cuz Marcus is a baby I’m gonna let him squash me? Pfft! 2nd place is the 1st loser! Eat my dust Marcus!!

taylor nikole

April 15, 2009

marcus doesn’t have dust
but when he kicks your butt

MUAHAHHA

Ash

April 15, 2009

Why does that make me think you are talking about Marcus poo, Taylor?! =P

Emma-Lu

April 16, 2009

Haha this is so true! Smiling at someone can up their mood tenfold. Although I tried it yesterday, but the the reciprocated smile didn’t seem so sincere and this made me frown back… haha ..Promise I’ll try again!

Jenipher

April 16, 2009

@ G & @ Kathy: That’s okay. As long as you made many smile. That’s cool! :D

The point of this was to brighten people’s days ;)

Jenipher

April 16, 2009

@ Emma-Lu: As long as you tried making the smile that’s what counts. Who knows? Maybe this person doesn’t get a smile from others that often.

Jenipher

April 16, 2009

@ Kathy: You do have a point. Babies have an incredibly GREAT advantage to adults. For some reason, anyone can see a baby and automatically smile whether the baby is smiling, frowning, ANYTHING! LOL

Jenipher

April 16, 2009

Winners…..*drum roll*

*crickets* -_-

I’m really having a hard time here. LOL

taylor nikole

Auntie Kailin

April 16, 2009

Babies bring joy to the world, don’t they? So why aren’t there enough diaper-changing stalls in restrooms?

@ Jenipher – great 1st post! We need more feel good posts. This econ and job layoffs are making people go crazy and being nasty to each other or worse. We really need to celebrate the little things in life…like smiles, laughter, babies, puppies, giggles….

Jenipher

April 16, 2009

@ Auntie Kailin: Oh yes those restrooms do! LOL

Thanks Auntie K. I’ll be sure to do my best at writing feel good posts :D
