1. The largest and most powerful laser in the world is the NOVA laser, in California.  The NOVA laser is 3 three stories high, about as long as a football field, and has a power of about 100 terawatts (100,000 billion Watts).   <–  TRUE.  (source)  Why such a crazy powerful laser?  To try to reproduce what it’s like at the center of the sun.  The CENTER of the SUN!
2. Excimer Lasers use non-reactive gases, such as chlorine and fluorine, mixed with inert gases such as argon, krypton or xenon.  <–  FALSE.  The gases are actually reactive.  DUN DUN DUNNNN!  (source)
3. The primary visible light emitted by gas lasers is violet light.  <–  FALSE.  It’s actually red light, not violet.  (source)
4. When G engages in her, um, anti-social behavior while eating pasta, her weapon of choice is a laser.  Not a samurai sword or a box cutter or a meat cleaver as is commonly thought.  <–  FALSE.  G’s weapon of choice is actually the fork she uses to eat her pasta.  I know.  Scary.  Binks said G’s weapons of choice are a bazooka and a flamethrower.  This may be true, but try eating pasta with these things.

1. The heaviest human brain recorded thus far was 3 lb 10 oz  (1.644 kg).
2. By 4 weeks, major regions of the human brain can be recognized in primitive form, including the forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain.
3. It takes about 20 seconds after the loss of blood supply to the brain for the average person to lose consciousness.
4. Kathy lost consciousness once when she found out she won the New York State Lottery.  Then someone stole her ticket while she was passed out, and claimed the millions that were rightfully hers.  But Kathy isn’t bitter.  Nope.  Not at all.  Not a bit.
