Trippin’ with Susana: Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and more!
Soooo…yes. Mari didn’t post her Mursday this week. And I didn’t post the brainteaser or the Fun Facts yesterday. But we totally have a good excuse. And the excuse is that the site wasn’t working. I think the server was down, but who knows. Mari will testify to this. We both tried on Thursday night to bring you the sparkling content you deserve, but all we got was white blankness when we tried to load the site. Isn’t that right Mari?
So I’ll post the brainteaser and facts next week. As for today, Susana came through again to tell us about another trip she took. Take it away Susana!

So let me start off by saying I love to travel. Well, you know that. I have gone to a couple places and thought I would share my experiences and photos with you guys. :)
The first one is a trip I took in August 2006 with my family, including my parents, my 2 sisters, and my sister’s boyfriend. On this trip, we visited the Grand Canyon, the Four Corners, and Las Vegas. It was a fun experience. We drove a lot, but in the end it was worth it because I love traveling and loved what I saw.
We first went to the 4 corners, which is really wonderful. You get to experience what it’s like to be in 4 places at once!!! The states that they had are Arizona, Colorado, Utah (where I am from ), and New Mexico. We took a bunch of photos from the road and at the 4 corners:
Another thing I really liked about the 4 corners is that there are little shops all around so you can go buy souvenirs at any of those cute little shops. You can buy jewelery and all sorts of different goodies. They are all handmade by the native people in the area. I thought the artwork was amazingly beautiful. So if you stop by, go ahead and buy yourself some cute little gifts because not only will you be helping them, but you’ll also enjoy something thoughtful.
Next on my little family adventure was the Grand Canyon in Arizona. It was soooooooo beautiful! I can’t explain it too well, but the view was just breathtaking!
It is a worthwhile trip if you like beautiful scenery. My little sister was really scared because if you look down it’s really far down and she kept thinking she was gonna fall over…it was cute. Here are a couple photos that we took. One of them is a tower where you go up top to see it from all the way up there.
Last but not least was Las Vegas, Nevada. It was really pretty, but I have to admit it looks kind of dirty during the day. But it’s very nice at night, and all the places are lit so it looks even better. Before we went to Vegas we had to pass through the Hoover Dam, which was an incredibly pretty sight. Anyway, all the hotels were incredible to look at, but my favorite was the one we stayed at because it’s so dorky and fun, but cool at the same time, which is sometimes what I like to say my personality is like. :) The hotel we stayed at was Circus Cirus.
We also stopped by Phoenix, Arizona, but I didn’t really take any photos because we got there at night to sleep so I couldn’t really get any! Although I did happen to get some pictures of the beautiful palm trees the day we were leaving. :)
So that is the fun and exciting trip I took to all those places.
I also took a trip to Bear Lake in the summer of 2007. I went with my family, including my sister’s boyfriend, and my dad’s friends. I didn’t get too many photos because there wasn’t too much to take, so I just took a couple with the jet skis and the water which was beautiful! :) Although I got sunburned, it was a fun time and I enjoyed getting on the water and getting to ride the jet skis, which was soooo fun! It was a very, very long looong ride, but again well worth the butt hurting you get from sitting for a long time.
Thanks for reading guys. I hope you enjoyed.

Awesome! My friends also went to the Grand Canyon and said the same thing…that you can’t describe it. You have to go there and experience it for yourself.
Thanks Susana! Next week, MarilyneL is going to tell us about her road trip to Nicolet, San Francisco, and Vancouver. Y’all are quite the bunch of roadtrippers, huh?
I love these! :D

May 11, 2009The Hoover Dam hehe, pretty amazing uh?. That means that you saw the blue blue lake right in the middle of the desert, right out from Las Vegas?
and Grand Canyon scenery is just one of those views that make you hate your camera for not showing the entire beauty.
