News Day Tuesday: Fly! Dance! Whoohoo!
Kimberly Anyadike is greeted after landing at Compton Woodley Airport on Saturday. (photo: Tony Marshall)
Teenager Kimberly Anyadike flew across the United States a couple weeks ago. She is believed to be the youngest African American female to complete the flight across the country. She was accompanied by an adult safety pilot and Levi Thornhill, an 87-year-old who served with the Tuskegee Airmen during World War II. Along the way, Kimblerly met about 50 Tuskegee Airmen who autographed the Cessna plane she flew.
Not bad for a 15-year old, eh?
The article. Thanks to Jenipher! Who’s quite the fly high fab fem herself.
