In a quiet corner of Brazil, Eloá Soares Leitão’s father purchased a computer and connected it to the Internet. Next thing he knew, his little girl was a shining star.

Around that time, Eloá took up music and English. She posted videos of her performing her original songs on YouTube. Within months of her first post, Eloá became the 39th most subscribed musician on the world-known website.

“She is simple, beautiful, and amazing,” says her friend Alba.

Most of all: She is a Girl By Design, and our latest Amazing Teen.

What inspires your music?
Everything… even silence, because I believe there’s music in it and most of all the beauties of life, dreams and love.

Why YouTube?
My father (who supports me very much) put the first video there. It wasn’t my intention to start publishing my videos, but it simply worked out, so I never stopped.

Are you a Michael Jackson fan?
Michael Jackson was the real king of pop. He will be terribly missed for everyone, I’m sure. I love his songs, especially Thriller, because it’s kind of magical, and I really admire his young side. I wish I could go to Neverland with him.

How can other girls access their creativity?
Tap into the corners of your mind by walking around and seeing life happening. Study, write lyrics and listen to good music.

What is your number one piece of advice to other Girls By Design?
There is love in our hearts no matter how we feel. Always trust yourself.
