Here’s what Laura has to say:

  1. How do you think people perceive you and how is it different from the way you perceive yourself?
Most people simply see me as the “quiet girl,” but I see myself as a lot more. I view myself as a very level-headed and mature person with a secret silly side, and a strange sense of humor. A lot of people don’t see my confident side because I am often very quiet in public and around people that I don’t know.

  2. Which of your irrational fears is the silliest?
I’ve always been a bit of a paranoid scaredy cat, so when I am home alone, I always have to have an escape plan. I’m also mildly claustrophobic, so when I am in the shower, I have to keep checking the other side of the shower curtain to make sure that no one is in the bathroom or anything. When I was younger, I watched the movie, “The Ring,” and was completely terrified of not only being home alone, but also of being alone with a television! I was scared of televisions!

  3. What is the most time consuming activity you participate in?
I don’t really have any time consuming hobbies. I barely have any real hobbies. I like reading and listening to music, but those don’t require a lot of effort.

  4. What is the greatest lesson you have learned from a child?
The greatest lesson that I learned as a child is that no one can live your life for you. A great proverb that I live my life by is “As far as I know, there is nothing that cannot happen today.” It’s a quote from Mark Twain. I also have learned that I need to prepare myself for the future, mentally and physically. I have learned a lot by looking back at my past and turning all of the negative stuff into something positive.

  5. If you could wave a magic wand and ask for whatever you wanted, what would you ask for?
I would ask for a 100 million dollars.

  6. What is the most beautiful moment you have ever experienced?
I think that the most beautiful moment I have experienced was when I was sitting on the beach reading a good book and not worrying about my problems.

  7. What are you most grateful for?
I am most grateful for the fact that I am alive and healthy.
