Movie Madness Mondays: Adventures in Babysitting

Hellow fellow GBD-ers!

Guess who’s back-back-back, back again-’gain-’gain. Guess who’s back, tell a friend!

Ya’ll know how me and entertainmnet are like a pea and a pod, or like peanut butter and jelly (mmm I want a sandwich now…) or better yet, like G and Binks team! HECK YEAH! =D  Anyways its because of this undying of affection that TA-DA Movie Madness Mondays is back on! HOORAY! *waits for cheers*

So to kick-start this new era of beautiful and mindboggling film reviews is G typing away her love for the movie “Adventures in Babysitting” which is kinda old skool (sorry Fossil Dusters O_O )but awesome nonetheless!

Go for it G!

~~~
“Chris I’m begging you, it’s really scary here. I’ve just seen three people shoot up, a bald Chinese lady with no pants on, and there’s this old guy outside who wants his bedroom slippers!” That almost has absolutely nothing to do with this review, but I threw it in anyway. You know why? Because this review is just an excuse for me to use a bunch of awesome quotes by the bestest character in the movie. Our dear Brenda. The catalyst for all of the chaos that composes our featured movie Adventures in Babysitting!
I sure hope you all watched the movie, or have seen it before, because it’s great. It’s so great, my mommy named me after one of the characters and if you can guess which one, you win a date with Binks…PSYCH! Please don’t kill me in my sleep, Binks! I have to babysit tomorrow! *looks around* I hope none of my friends pull a Brenda and call me saying she’s stranded downtown like she did to poor Chris. However, like the good babysitter she was, Chris kept her charges by her side through thick and thin. A flat tire, a scorned tow truck driver shooting at his wife’s lover, a knife fight on a subway, a trip to the hospital and a possible death, being car-jacked and taken to a chop shop, escaping from said shop and running away from the criminals, a cheating boyfriend, an issue of Playboy and so much more. That’s dedication, ladies. Are you that dedicated when you babysit? If you are, I suggest you charge extra.
Now that we’ve got the plot out of the way, I must say that Adventures in Babysitting is a kick-butt movie and I love it. Chris is kick-butt, Brenda is hilarious and kick-butt and my name buddy is just so very kick-butt. I hope you all loved it too, because it has everything in it. Humor, drama, suspense, thrills, Thor, romance, girl power, violence, action. You name it, this movie’s got it. So let’s hear those crazy babysitting stories, ladies! Oh and remember, never trust a bald, pant-less woman. She will steal your glasses and jumbo sewer rats look like cuddly kittens, but don’t be fooled!
WOO!! Ok so for next week we got a classic: “Bring it On”
and when we say toBring it On, we mean it, so be prepared!  >=] muahahaha!
I remember seeing this on TV when I was 13 or so. Gosh it’s been a while… I remember I loved it when I saw it the first time, but when I watched it again a few years ago, it wasn’t so good anymore. But still a classic. Has funny stuff though. And freaky to see so many names in early roles :o )
Bring It On is indeed a classic. Love Eliza Dushku in it. This gives me an excuse to watch it again :o P
While this movie totally sounds like a must see, I can’t find it in any movie-renting places around here, my only option would have to be buying it or something :S
I’ve never ever ever babysat anyone in my entire life! :O :O :O Yup! It’s true! But the thing is that usually people here don’t put just about anyone to babysit their little fella, but because parents usually try finding someone from the family, someone they can really trust.
So…I’m happy hearing all the good babysitting stories you all have! :D :D :D
i also remember this movie… i have always wanted to see this kind of movie way back because from where i am, there is no movie theatre. i lost hope in trying to find it in video rentals because it was always out. then when all hopes fail, i received as a gift on Christmas from (you wouldn’t believe it) my elder brother two DVD’s (1&2) who bought ‘em in Cebu City (Philippines). i was so glad i have a brother like him. (he is not gay, he has his own family now and a 7-year old boy). i still kept the DVD’s and watched them with my nieces and nephew.
go, taurus! hahaha
Never seen “Adventures in Babysitting” but sounds like a good one.
Now “Bring it On” is a different story, i’ve seen that movie so many times. I love that movie.:p
Somehow, I’ve lived all these years without having watched “Adventures in Babysitting” – how is this possible? You know what else I’ve never seen? “Titanic.”
I watched “Bring It On” though. That was entertaining. For the review, I think Binks and G should post a video of themselves busting out the cheer moves.
I’m so brilliant sometimes it’s frightening.
WATCH THE MOOOOOOVIE!!!
Just remember, if we end up in the hospital trying to do backflips and high kicks and splits, it’s your fault, Kathy!
