Mari’s ‘Mazing Mursdays: GbD Outing Edition
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup! Last week we had the pleasure of hanging out with the lovely Jessica F. She came all the way from California, to hang out with the coolest Gbd member ever (aka me), and I guess Kendra too. Not to mention bb Marcus! Here’s what she had to say about our lovely day out:
“GbD Outing Day! YAY!!
So I was fortunate to stay with Mari and Britt for an entire week in the most beautiful city in the ENTIRE world. I kid you not.
And on one of those days we were there, we met up with Kendra and Marcus! How exciting. So this was our fun GbD outing day!
Mari and I took the bus alllll the way to Kendra’s house, which may have been not too far but I have no idea how to get around Vancouver. Once we arrived, we were greeted with a very green-mouthed baby Marucs! He is seriously the cutest baby everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. His mommy was in the middle of feeding him some food when we got there. Mari and I hung out with Marcus for a bit while Kendra got his baby things ready to go. I even got to meet Kernie. This guy is so funny because he just steals whatever baby toys are on the floor and then makes a run for it! We were having a blast with baby and doggie, and before we knew it, it was time to leave!
So off we went, Kernie-less (poor Kernie) and trekked all the way to Granville Island by bus. It was sure a journey! I am not use to all the walking and was out of breath, all the while Kendra and Mari are speed-walking. I tell you, I felt like one lazy American. puHAHAHA.
Once we arrived, we hit up the kiddy market where they had toys GALORE. Mari and I tried to help mama Kendra pick out some new toys, all the while, Marcus had fallen asleep. (Apparently, Mr. Marcus thought it would be hilarious to keep his mother and father up all night with his baby insomnia and hyperness!
poor parentals!) I was no help because I had no idea what toys he liked. Thank goodness Marikins was there! We eventually made our way up to the baby costume store where we cooed over how cute the costumes were! We didn’t end up buying anything except for Kendra who bought the cutie some baby crocs (G’s favorite).
So we continued on and wandered around this HUGE indoor market. It was amazing!! I was photo hungry, and also just plain HUNGRY. This market has everything and I mean it. They have fresh fish, fresh beef, veggies of all sorts, more fruits than you can imagine, chocolates of all kinds, and many more neat treats! Mari and I could not stop taking photos of every stall we passed by! And then it was time for lunch.
We picked up a couple of delicious hot dogs and sat outside around the pier area. The view was breath-taking, of course, no doubt about it! We spent a lot of time there just soaking up the views and of course watching Marcus try to stand up and be mobile. Of course, we snapped a billion photos again. How could you not?!
This was turning out to be such an amazing day. We ended it with a trip to the playground area. Want to know the funny part? I think Mari and Kendra had more fun in that play area than Marcus -_-
HAHA. And then it was time to go home. We were exhaaaaaaaaaausted. Mari and I had to rest a bit before making the long journey back to Mari’s place. And just as we were about to get on the Skytrain, there was a bomb threat. So, Mari and I walked around downtown Vancouver for about 15 mins. until we hopped on a bus. We were so tired and we just wanted to get home SHEESH!
This was one of the most enjoyable days I’ve had in a while! I am very blessed to have the chance to hang out with two amazing GbD ladies! Mari is a big goof ball and a sweetheart
and she is even more adorable in person. Kendra is also super goofy and very fun to be around. I hope one day you girls will get a chance to meet these two, because the blog just doesn’t do them justice! So I just want to give a big THANK YOU to Mari for housing me for a week
Thanks to GbD for even introducing me to the most fab females around (i.e. Binks, Taylor, G, Kathy). I am really grateful that this blog has brought us together and I hope you readers feel the same way. Hoped you enjoyed the blog! Love you all!

Well, now that you read what miss Jessica had to say, here are a few pictures…. and I do mean FEW… we managed to take, what, close to 600? I kid you not.
ps. Question of the day….. what are your thoughts on Mischa Barton being asked to lose 10lbs for a role (as a model)?
