  1. How do you think people perceive you and how is it different from the way you perceive yourself?
  2. Which of your irrational fears is the silliest?
  3. What is the most time consuming activity you participate in?
  4. What is the greatest lesson you have learned from a child?
  5. If you could wave a magic wand and ask for whatever you wanted, what would you ask for?
  6. What is the most beautiful moment you have ever experienced?
  7. What are you most grateful for?

Send in your answers via video, audio, or text to:  sexy7@girlsbydesign.com.  And while you’re at it, send us a self-portrait to go with your Sexy 7.   Camera shy?  Then get creative!  Draw yourself, make a collage, take a pic of your big toe…you get the idea. ;)

And yes…when we said “Laaaaaaadiiiieeees!” up there, we meant incarnations of the female persuasion.  Gentlemen, please…don’t cry.  Unless they’re tears of joy over how awesome these Sexy 7s are. :D

Here’s what Lindy has to say:

lindy-gamble

  1. How do you think people perceive you and how is it different from the way you perceive yourself?
Well…it varies from one person to another.  Some, I think, view me as a leader, while others would have an opinion of their own and argue that I’m a team player. The one I tend to like the most — though, some may find it odd — is when people guess the wrong age. The ages some people come up with are just outrageous, but they’re always older than I really am. For example, I’ve received 18, 22, 23, and 27. I would have NEVER seen myself as any of those ages.  I see myself the way I always do…ready to go with the flow!! I don’t really mind how others perceive me. I love it when people have their own opinions!!

  2. Which of your irrational fears is the silliest?
Silliest?? … *taps chin* … Probably my fear clowns. But, I tend to take that pretty seriously. I REALLY don’t like clowns. Especially if they have a red nose. No offense, to anyone who is a clown.

  3. What is the most time consuming activity you participate in?
Babysitting. More, specifically, watching 5-7 children all at once. Sheesh!!

  4. What is the greatest lesson you have learned from a child?
Learn, or figure out some way, to connect with them. Meaning, find a way to “become the same age as them.”  For example, I’ve learned that when I’m talking to a child (considering they are shorter than I), it’s better if you are physically on the same level as they are. Otherwise, when you stand, you may be seen as superior…when that may not be your intent at all. They will understand you better if you literally get on your knees and talk to them.

  5. If you could wave a magic wand and ask for whatever you wanted, what would you ask for?
I would ask for a bunch of things. But if I could only ask for one thing, I would ask for a better camera. Yes, you are allowed to laugh. I have 2 digital cameras, but I’m really into photography and I’m taking classes at school.  I would REALLY like to have a more professional camera. The attached picture is actually one that I took.

  6. What is the most beautiful moment you have ever experienced?
The last day of my sophomore year. There’s a lot of reasons for why, but one is that I had that overwhelming feeling that I had made it to the 1/2 way point of high school. It was a good feeling, not bad.

  7. What are you most grateful for?
I’m most grateful for all of my role models, of which there are too many to count or list.

OMG! being afraid of clowns seems to be uber common! I wonder why soooo many peeps are scared of clowns?

I love your answer to #4, its soooo true, if you can relate to a child at their level first, they will surely open up to you.

#5 MEEEEEE TOOOOOOO! I so would love to have pro camera….I would love for you to share your photo assignments you are learning at school with GBD!

Jeez, I can’t imagine watching that many critters at once. Ah the fear of clowns, no worries my older brother is scared of them too lol, but his fear stems from watching the movie It, which is one of my favorite movies.

Wow! I’m truly impressed! Looking after 5-7 children! OMG! I truly admire you!

LOL The clowns thing is relatable! I’m not exactly afraid like running away from them or anything but they do freak me out, they can be creepy, you know? :D

Great Sexy 7 Lindy!

@Kendra- Personally, I’m afraid of clowns because a friend in grade school convinced me to watch the movie, “IT”. *shudders*…NEVER AGAIN. Of course it doesn’t help that my mom used to be a clown!! So, when we moved into our current house, I forced her to hide the pictures of herself as a clown. I felt really bad doing that…but, I just couldn’t handle it.
As for children, I love them with all my heart. There’s nothing that will ever change that. Even if I am babysitting more than I can handle. :)
What would be the best way to get my photos from school to you?? I am more than happy to share!!

@Air- I literally gasped at your mention of “IT”. That’s what started it all. LoL.

@Jenipher- Aww, thank yous!! No…I’m not much of a runner myself. Although, I do have a friend…and I’m serious when I say this…who has an irrational fear of stickers. Yes, STICKERS. Now, if you ever want to see a college-aged young man run as fast as he would if the sky was falling…I mean, it’s unbelievable how fast he ran when a someone came up to him with just one sticker.

@Animator- DIDO!!! I had so many nightmares after watching that movie.

Thanks everyone!

Lin

@Kendra- I do think everyone should at least experience a clown. What they shouldn’t experience is the movie “IT”. But a clown, once in a lifetime, at least…so, I’d say, get a clown for Marcus’s birthday. He might enjoy it!!

IT! I remember that movie! Pennywise was insaaaaane.

Holy smokes, 5-7 children?! You’re like super babysitter! That is just wow.

I think it would be OK to get Marcus a clown for his birthday. Just not one like on Uncle Buck hahaha.
