News Day Tuesday: The State of the American Woman

Wassup GBD!
You know what? I got home an hour ago. You know what that means? That means I need to sleep. Soooo…I’m just gonna throw a bunch of links at you today for the news. I know. This is an excellent plan.
All of these links are from this week’s TIME magazine, which did a cover story about “The State of the American Woman”:
- What Women Want Now – The cover story about, well, what women want now.
- The Unfinished Revolution – Maria Shriver (journalist and wife of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger) talks about her mom, Eunice Kennedy (sister of the famous Kennedy brothers).
- Gender Roles in a Changing Economy – Results from the TIME survey.
- Then and Now – TIME catches up with 3 women who were profiled by the magazine in 1972.
TIME did a survey for this cover story, and I thought the most interesting thing they found was what they said on the cover: that American women are more powerful now, but less happy. Why do you think that is? (You can read the story for some ideas.) Do you think it’s like that for women in other places too? Or is it just an American thing?
