Comic Costume
I know, I know…News Day Tuesday. But GBD! Life beckons and I must heed its call. In other words, I have no time. But far be it from me to leave you post-less today. So once again, in the spirit of Halloween, I present to you the comic costume!
(Photo by Tasha Marie. I think.)
Now that I think about it, I’m not sure if you young ones get it. lol. The costume is based on old-school comics, in which the art had characteristic dots because of the printing methods back then. You may recognize this style of art from the works of Roy Lichtenstein, who is perhaps most famous for pieces like the one below:
(Girl with Hair Ribbon by Roy Lichtenstein)
Do you get it? Neat huh?
Anyway, if you’d like to go as an old-school comic character this Halloween, Tasha Marie has photos of the process on her blog. She’s also got photos of making pumpkin lanterns, but with a twist.
