WTF: Teeth Jewelry
(photos via Ecouterre)
Gooooooood morning GBD!
Australian silversmith Polly van der Glas created a collection of jewelry made from sterling silver and human teeth. Locals donate the teeth, which she then sterilizes before setting them in silver.
So whaddya think? Win, Toss, or Fail?

Aaaaaaaand…the Leonid Meteor Shower is coming! Whoohoo! The last time I saw the Leonids was back in November 2001. My cousins and I were freaking freezing outside, in the dark, at 3 or 4 in the morning. FREEZING! But you know what? It was totally, completely, without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. The sky was lit up with shooting stars. Just dozens and dozens and dozens per hour. Some meteors were so bright they lit up the ground. We could see the smoke trails for some of them. Just WOW.
Activity like that isn’t going to happen again for a while, but astronomers say this year’s Leonids should be a decent show, especially for people in Asia. In North America, people in the northeast will get the best view. Depending on where you are, the peak times are different. If you’re in the northeastern part of North America, best viewing times are around the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday morning (about 4am), November 17th. Visit NASA to find out more.
Oh yeah…I almost forgot. Check back tomorrow for a big announcement. Hmm…maybe I should try that again.

See y’all tomorrow!

November 16, 2009That’s gonna be a toss for me. It creeps me out just looking at that jewelry, but hey at least that’s a way to recycle baby teeth, she’s going “green” with it lol
I can’t wait for the Meteor Shower, I’m not sure what I’ll be able to see, I live downtown in a metropolitan area, so the city lights might drown out the meteors.
I wonder what the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT is, I think I might know, but can’t wait ’til tomorrow to find out.
