Here’s what our very own Tracey of GBD music playlist fame has to say:
-
How do you think people perceive you and how is it different from the way you perceive yourself?
Happy almost every hour of the day. They see me as someone who’s not afraid to speak up about something or get in front of an audience. The kind of girl who rarely gets shy and likes to make other people happy. I sometimes perceive myself a small bit differently. I do tend to be happy a lot, enjoy getting in front of a crowd and making others happy, but sometimes I like some alone time. I can become down easily, and it can affect my outlook on life at times. Sometimes the world can get tough and I need some time out. I often tend to listen to music or read some books just to get away from the world for a few hours. -
Which of your irrational fears is the silliest?
I have a major fear of the dentist! It’s irrational because I can barely pass one without feeling my insides churn! I know that it’s a silly fear and there’s not much to be afraid of, but I can’t help it. We’re all human and we’re not perfect! -
What is the most time-consuming activity you participate in?
At the moment I participate mostly with school! Being 15, school and study take up a lot of my time. I do spend a lot of time around music, mainly around the summer and winter due to holidays, but I’m hoping to study psychology in a few years time and keep music a big part of my life as well! -
What is the greatest lesson you have learned from a child?
I have a few young cousins, and from being around them a lot I’ve learned that we shouldn’t judge people at first sight. When I look at young children playing, they don’t tend to care who’s with them because they appreciate and enjoy life so much! I think all of us could learn from this and I certainly have! -
If you could wave a magic wand and ask for whatever you wanted, what would you ask for?
I know it’s silly but I’d ask for wings! I’d love to be able to take off whenever I felt like and explore new places, new cultures, and new ways of life! I’d love to feel free and in control and be without a care in the world! I know I’m still young, but there’s so much I want to see and explore! -
What is the most beautiful moment you have ever experienced?
Being young I haven’t had many beautiful moments, but I do have some great memories! Recently I got into the final of a local talent show and I was so so nervous! I was waiting to go out to take my seat when dozens of people came running up to me with huge posters yelling my name! They surrounded and hugged me wishing me the best of luck and I was never so grateful to have friends! Because of this experience I think friends are very valuable people. People who we need to hold onto and cherish in life! It’s because of their support I won! -
What are you most grateful for?
I’m most grateful for life! My life couldn’t be better! Of course I have times when I’m down, when I don’t feel like myself and have huge obstacles to overcome, but that’s just part of the journey that we all have to take! I know that I have friends and family who love me and support me and I’m so grateful for that! I’ve experienced some great times and I have some amazing memories that will never be forgotten! I’m glad to be alive and I’m enjoying every bit of it!
