I don’t know if any of you have noticed, but Twilight is quite the phenomenon. The lines for New Moon are still really, really long.

Anyway, since Twilight is so popular, I figured I’d throw this out at y’all for today’s edition of WTF.

There is a website modeled after the infamous FML site called My Life Is Twilight, in which people submit short anecdotes illustrating how their lives echo Twilight in some way. It’s a new site, but there are already thousands of submissions.

Go ahead and check it out. And then tell us what you think: Win, Toss, or Fail?

I’m gonna say this is a win, I would never have a situation where I’d say that MLIT,(I’m a fan but not that big of a fan) but some of the posts are hilarious. Like this one:
My name is Isabella. My brother’s name is Edward. No surprises that i’m Team Jacob. MLIT.

I’m headed in to finals for school, and I should be studying, but I think I just found something else to help me procrastinate. ;)

Fail

because, alright it’s funny but it brings out all the obession about it, whether it’s for the books or the movies. I mean, the saga is Huuuuuuge as Kelly would say to Regis:P I mean, poor actors, they are followed everywhere, people almost walking over their own feet, people screaming at them…pfff that’s not the kind of life I would ask for lol. I saw I video of two sisters watching the TRAILER of New Moon, and literally running, screaming and jumping around the house..I was whoaa…this is getting out of hands hehe

I wonder if it’s bigger than the beatlemania? :P

Toss. I actually really enjoyed the Twilight books and the two movies, and the site seems relatively harmless and does have it’s funny submissions, but as Marilyne pointed out it also brings out a lot of the obsessiveness, and there are so many other more empowering, service oriented, meaningful things that these youth could be doing then spending their lives wishing they were a part of a fictional story.

I love Twilight but naarr, the attraction for me is it’s outside the bounds of reality, if its what I think it is and these people are writing how alike their lives are like Twilight then the mystery is lost for me, so I say win on Twilight, toss on the site…hey that rhymes!
