Hey Ladies in GBD land! Happy New Year!

I am excited to write this blog and share all the exciting things that will be taking place at GBD in 2010. But first I need to send hugs and kisses to my GBD team and contributors  who endlessly support the mission with love, compassion and spunk!

Did you know? Have you heard? That we are losing one of our most beloved GBD’er? Can you guess? I am sad to say farewell to Kathy who has been an amazing contributor to GBD.  Although a little pop cultural impaired, she was sassy, smart and a bit smitten when it came to her role at GBD and we will miss her dearly!

BUT! Guess who is taking over??? Drum Roll please! BINKS!  Now Binks brings a new flavor to the blog, she is deviously wise, a real mastermind when it comes to the ways of the world and is full of heart and soul! Welcome to your new role BINKS! Chillax and enjoy the ride!

GBD and Time Out Retreat will hold its annual teen retreat this spring just outside of San Fransisco, and we are extremely excited about working with the Boys and Girls club! Keep checking back to the blog to find out more.

GBD is excited to have Sarah aka ‘G” as a new board member, let’s face it girls she earned it with all her amazing contributions and her fearlessness to be herself.  YA! G!

You will be dazzled with some of our new blog writers, who are no strangers to GBD, Taylor is going to share the daily ins and outs of an everyday teen, while Tracy is off on a mission to Kenya, and our friend Shira will be starting an expression of art, poetry and other fabulous thangs!

Annnnnnnd in the next few weeks GBD will announce a new opportunity for YOU to be apart of the team too!  That’s right! We have a few new positions on the teen board of directors and YOU could fill that new position! Keep checking back for more info☺

We are officially starting intern opportunities for young women at GBD with our sales team/ editorial team/ and design team. If you are interested please submit to info@girlsbydesign.com Subject: GBD Internship. We don’t mind if you work remotely after all that’s the beauty of being on-line! And be prepared to commit 10-20 hours a week☺

The biggest announcement is during the next few weeks! We will slowly start launching pieces of the GBD Master Site for testing and you could be invited to participate. Get ready to be inspired to explore create and express yourself in a fun unique way that speaks to your own essence☺ Not to mention meet some really cool ladies along the way!

Holy smokes! So many things! Oh man I’m jumping in my seat already! :O

2010 Promises to be a great New Year, with a lot of new things coming our way. I’m excited to be handling the new torch Kathy has so graciously given to me. I think its safe to say we are all gonna severely miss Kathy! Her awesomeness is just too big to ignore.

I’m sure this year will be an adventure for you and me as we embark on a whole new journey together. Scary! Can I grab your hand along the way? Pleeeaaaaaaseeee? You can hold mine any time!
