Living Life: Taylor (A New Year, A New Blog)
Not too long ago the lovely Kendra asked me if I’d like to start a weekly, monthly (so on) blog about myself. At first I wondered what could possibly be so interesting about me or my life… that people would actually want to read. I realize there is so much that happens to me on a daily basis that I will probably never share with the world…. so what would I share? Sometimes I don’t give myself enough credit and feel like I am extremely boring, therefore I feel like taking this opportunity to write a blog about myself will not only give me the space to express myself, but to also share my knowledge and opinions that I don’t usually have the opportunity to share with a large variety of people. Also, take into consideration that I am a teenage girl, therefore many of you guys deal with the same issues I do and may be able to relate to what I write. I would feel honored if writing about my experiences in life could somehow help one of you out in your life… maybe help you make your own important decisions with things you are struggling with in your own lives.
Sooo anyways…
I feel that I ended off the year amazingly, and 2009 was by far the best and in some aspects the most challenging. I met many new friends, reconnected with old ones and even came out. But first, lets start off with my end of the year comic relief meeting… yes yes, I met the amazing Kathy Griffin at her book signing in Hollywood. I’ve been waiting forever to grovel at her feet. Okay… not exactly grovel, but get her to say something funny in my presence. My friends and I got to the book store at about 10:30 am and payed $30 for a new copy of Kathy Griffin’s book… rip off considering I already had a copy (sigh)… then waited in line till 11 am for the signing to start. We were only waiting about half an hour and we were in the middle of the line, but for Kathy’s benefit “We waited in line all night long because everyone LOVES Kathy”… although I feel that Lady Gaga has somewhat become the new magnet of the gay community and taken them away from Kathy… but not me… not me (I do have a huge crush on Gaga, but shhh don’t tell Kathy). We went up one by one to meet her and of course I was the one wearing my “I’d go gay for Kathy Griffin shirt”… turns out Kathy loved my shirt, but didn’t even know they sold them (I told her I got it when I went to go see her show, still didn’t exactly ring a bell). She signed my shirt. End of story. Also, she apologized for fondling my clavicle whilst worrying about her penmanship. Simply Amazing. Yes, I said amazing like 239432 times.
So its 2010. Wow it’s weird to write that. Happy New Year everyone! I feel like a character in a video game who has reached the next level. Along with this next level comes new unknown challenges for me to overcome. I am starting on this fresh new slate and you all get to follow me on my journey.
This year didn’t start off with much of a bang… this past Saturday I attended a memorial for one of my good friends moms. I never actually got the chance to meet her since she was always in the hospital, but I was there for my friend during some of the hardest times. I also felt that going to the memorial was the closest opportunity to ever meeting her that i could get. I haven’t had much happen yet, and im not going to dwell on writing about the past, hence this blog being a little short… but as more stuff happens, I will definitely write all about it. So here we go girls…. a new start, a new year, a new blog…. hope you enjoy
.
By the way im particularily scattered when I write because I feel that my life isn’t so organized most of the time… so don’t go ripping your hair out trying to figure out why I’m so disorganized (because I know Binks is right now).

January 4, 2010Hey Taylor, thanks for sharing! Meeting Kathy Griffin sounds like a blast, and is definitely worthy of the word “amazing”! Sorry that the new year so far hasn’t been super joyous or exciting, but it’s wonderful that you were able to support your friend.
