While rummaging through the vast webs of the internet, this video happened to grace my screen and crack my mind open to a lot of thoughts about our individual power and how one person, combined with other persons can change the world as a whole. Check it and see for yourself!

“The Girl Effect” is a project– an ever expanding idea, a mission. The video was produced by the NoVo Foundation and the Nike Foundation with great effectiveness, yes? “The Girl Effect” is a microfinancing project in which people donate money as a sort of loan to girls from around the world living in poverty. The girls are taught about investments and savings and how to be able to run their own small business in order to be self-sustaining for themselves and others. With greater financial freedom, their families have less burden. These young ladies (usually around teen ages, from 13-18) are able to go to school, postpone marriage, and ultimately change their lives for the better. Talk about girl empowerment!
