OMG Breaking News!

HURRAY CANADA!

I am out with Marcus and Terry (Marcus and I in our Olympic hats of course) and WAAZAM!! SARAH MCLACHLAN jumps out of the Olympic Relay Van that’s right in front of us, carrying the Olympic torch! Oh, hi, SARAH MCLACHLAN…Soo cool…Whats up?! Suddenly, Sarah gets swarmed by peeps dying to have their photo taken with her and she is whisked away into the crowd! Ummm, did that just happen?…FUN! Moments later, Sarah’s torch is lit and she goes dashing up 4th ave! Wooooo Hoooooo! GO SARAH! GO CANADA! I instantly felt incredibly privileged to be in the presence of Sarah and able to cheer her on as she carried the torch! I cant believe the 2010 Vancouver Olympics are here! YIPPI!

Here are some fun pictures!

Get yourself a hat, Taylor. You were just cheering the US on like 10 minutes ago! YOU DON’T DESERVE A CANADA HAT! :P

If anyone is getting a hat here, IT’S ME! I’ve put my reputation on the line for Canada! My roommates make fun of me everyday for loving Canada!

PS 1.0: I’m only kidding, I swears! :D

PS 2.0: Go Canada until they play the US in hockey

Don’t listen to me! I want Canada to win hockey gold! If anyone deserves it, it’s them! GO CANADA!

Looks like someone forgot to take their medication again. She only means that last part, folks. She has her good days and bad days…On the bad days, she talks crazy talk of Canada not winning. Let’s all say a pray for her!

Well played, Sarah. Well played. I don’t approve of you using your “I can edit [crap] now” power on my blog comments :P

I mean go USA until they play Canada! If (and when, let’s be serious here folks) Canada beats them and ends up in the gold medal game then…GO CANADA GO!

Good save, name buddy. :D This is all hypothetical, though. We all know what happened in Turino.

It’s true. I just got done watching Miracle (AMAZING movie by the way and if you haven’t seen it, no matter what country you’re cheering for in the Olympics, this is a MUST-SEE film) and am feeling very patriotic. I would LOVE so much to see a game like that between the underdog US and superior Canada. I would probably die before the end of it though. I STILL LOVE MY CANADIANS AND CANADA! But as an American, (and because the government may be tapping this blog), I must stay on the side of my country :P

Let the records show that G did not edit this comment, much to her chagrin…Except for that bit there…

And you wonder why you can’t see the v-logs of the Canadians on here….:P

That is awesome Kendra! I remember back in 2002 When the Olympics were in Salt Lake City Utah. The torch came through South Bend Indiana (where I’m from) in our downtown. The person who carried it was one of our local news anchors who passed it off to a local man who’s daughter was killed in 911. It was so cool to see it.

I was wondering if you could ask Kristin to comment on the Olympics being in Vancouver. I am imagining she would say “Completely freakin’ rad!!”, but that is just a guess. Anyhow, The opening ceremonies are awesome!
