Living Life Taylor: Stress Stress Stress Edition

So these last few weeks have been pretty crazy. My grades, I’m pretty sure didn’t turn out so well and this semester is already a disaster. I’m taking AP statistics in school and the AP test has a 13% pass rate…. I would basically be spending $100 just to fail a test… I can do that in class. I’m still trying to figure out what to do, but I’m pretty sure I’m not taking it, too much stress for right now.
Anyone else dealing with school stress?

So, I’ve kinda been thinking a lot about what I want to do when I graduate high school… but not exactly sure what yet. I’m almost certain I want to go to an art school. Some guy came in to our art class today from an art school to tell us about the art school he worked for. This is really inspiring me to create a portfolio and to create for fun and actually feel like I’m doing something for myself as opposed to other people.

My idea: With my new HD vid cam… I’m going to start writing and creating little short films, nothing big, but just to show my progress and creativity (or hopefully creativity). Nothing gross, obscene, or violent…. maybe inspiring or even a little humorous.  I feel a project will really give you a look on what’s going on with my life and the things from my mind that I can bring to life…. so why not share :)

On another note, how do you girls deal with stress? Do you have any personal techniques you use to cool down or think on the brighter side during stressful situations?

I’m really looking forward to hearing about your journey. Girl, if your passionate about art, go for it! You can do anything you but your mind and heart to.

Stress…. ahhh STRESS… breathe. Take a deep breath. Think of the things you have to do and organize. If you have three tests to study for, a project due next week, and reading to do, then organize it how you see fit. Study first, do some of your project (DON’T PROCRASTINATE) read before you go to bed… Even if your up to 2am, just think of that passion you feel towards art and know that this is all for that.

hey there!!

what can i say ..the school stress was way too much for me the 1st semester( i guess the dates are a bit different from the USA once..but it ended a month ago )and i made myself to keep on going until now.
Unitil now because i’m sick and i’m staying at home and it’s driving me crazy ..and i’m pretty much sure that everything happend because of the school stress ..
because -
i wanted to end the semester perfectly ..yeah,i did
but what was the reason?! to be sick and stressed out. gah ,damn me

and i’ve also been thinking what i want to study after school ..and believe me i don’t know – i’m a lot into photography and art will be great for me , but i love journalism and i think that i would love to be a lawyer..

Hey :) .

Okay so this post is awesome because I feel you on almost everything you said I’m SOOOOOO completely 100% stressed at this point & I hate it so I think it’s great your posting this & also going through it in a creative way I can’t wait to see what you come up with it sounds so great.

I guess you can say I don’t really deal with stress all that well I’ve been out of High School for oh about almost 2 years now I’ve been in college a year & a half almost 2 & I can say all of it is taking it’s toll on me because everyone pressures you into making decisions & choosing what you want to do & it’s great to have that motivation & push but sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming I already have decided what my major is which I am really happy about I decided it in the middle of ‘09 now I’m declared & will finish next year hopefully. I think I deal with it by dancing & music too of my favorite things along with art like you :D . I love just sitting in my room blasting the music so loud & just tuning myself into my own little world, I love feeling like I’m in control & have the power in me to just do whatever I want I love almost all types of music it’s hard not to I mean music is Amazing!!! I also devote myself to 2 hours of dance a day or try to at least when I have the time because to me dance is like air I need it lol in some cases it’s my oxygen.

So I think I deal with in those ways but it’s interesting to go out of your comfort zone & try new things even ones you think you won’t be good at or just don’t want to because your scared. I think it’s great you posted this along with the title haha, so keep at it & keep us updated.

aww thanks guys :) I’m glad you can all relate. I definately believe we all go through our own really personal and unique stresses and stesses that we have in common. Its nice to express them and share them and see what other people think and see what other people are going through.

@Susana/Susy- dancing seems like such an expressive and creative outlet :) I’m glad you’ve found the perfect ‘outlet’ to help with your stress in everyday life. dance dance away girl :)

@Taylor: Yeah I love Dance & can’t live a day without it so I think this post is great because I think everyone should have their own outlet to look forward to I mean if you didn’t you wouldn’t be able to go on through much without exploding lol stress is a tricky thing so to have something that can make you forget about everything at least for a bit & also be happy then it’s a great thing.
