WTF: Lego Clothes

You’ve seen those fashion statements with the clothes made of candy, or clothes that were painted on. Well, here’s another eco-friendly alternative that will hopefully not get eaten by birds or leave you cold in the winter.

Fragmented Textiles! Woot! Okay, so it’s not EXACTLY Lego clothes, but hey, I think that’s a good thing, the plastic wouldn’t be very comfortable after a while. The concept is the same, though! These nifty lil’ wool pieces can be clipped together with lots of different colors to make a variety of different patterns. Talk about bang for your buck.

Basically, you can wear the same piece of clothing, reducing textile waste, and assemble it the way you want it to, thus designing your own clothes over and over again. Pushing this eco-friendly idea is a Dutch consultancy named Refinity and designed by Fioen van Balgooi and Berber Soepboer.

Win? Toss? Fail? Why?

On a side note:

We’d like to Thank all the ladies for their submissions to the BOD! Everyone is hard at work reviewing the applications and projects. So far all the submissions we’ve received look fantastic! If we rack our brains and lose sleep trying to decide, it’s all cause of your sheer talent and awesomeness! I’ll send you my doctor’s bill later. :)

For those who didn’t submit, it’s okay. We know where you live.

For those who forgot. REALLY? My kick-butt reminder did nothing for you?! I’m hurt. If the deadline just flew by, well, there’s always next time!

If your wondering when and how everything for the BOD is going to be announced. I have no idea, I’m just the messenger, so don’t shoot me.
