People Are People
You know what, ladies? My buddy Binks and I were chatting and we realized something: The blogs on racism and the vandalism of a mosque have tumbleweed blowing by them. COINCIDENCE? WE THINK NOT! Now, we know that when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me. Therefore, we are willing to give you all a second chance. Tell Binks and I how awesome we are and we won’t hurt you. Deal? Don’t make us start giving y’all culture sensitivity classes!
Plus, you now have to answer these questions for us, muahaha. Where do you see racism? Have you ever experienced racism? What, if anything, do you do to promote inclusiveness and peace? Have you ever caught yourself doing/thinking something racist? How did it make you feel? HMMM?!

March 25, 2010I haven’t been on in a few days, so I’ll comment on this post first, then head over to the other ones.
Two incident in particular stick out. When I was maybe 15 waiting for the school bus a guy with a confederate flag stuck his middle finger at me when he was driving by, and I was just standing there I didn’t provoke it or anything. The other time, I was walk home from my bus stop and a group of older high-school kids drove by me and yelled the N word. My high school also had some problem with racism.
Where do you see racism?
Hmm I don’t see it to often, but perhaps I’m just desensitized to it.
Have you ever experienced racism?
Unfortunately yes
What do I do to promote inclusiveness and peace?
I don’t really do anything specific, but I treat everyone that I come across like I would want them to treat me, I don’t treat people of different races differently. I treat everyone like human beings.
Have you ever caught yourself doing/thinking something racist?
Thinking something racists, unfortunately yes. For example I might think stereotypically.
How did it make you feel?
I’m sure which ? this pertains to so I’ll answer two ways.
Think bad things: It makes me feel like a hypocrite because I don’t want someone to think racist things about me.
Experiencing Racism: Like CRAP, I had never experienced any direct racism ever, I grew up in a very excepting environment. I did’t even tell my parents until a few weeks after it happened. I was scared to go to bus stop and begged them to drive to school.
Those people were really crappy, but reflecting back on that I guess it made me stronger, but also alittle jaded.
There I spilled my guts, are you happy now!
sorry in advance for any typos
