Hey Ladies! Here is another installment of Marilyne’s awesome adventures! If you need to catch up, check the previous posts. :)

Day 6

San Diego

Tuesday: June 24th

11:00am: We leave for the Wild Animal Park, idea provided by flyers at the hotel lobby hehe, but before, my sister, alright, me too, wants to know where the hostel is. We finally park in a street and go by foot, looking for the hostel, to be sure we don’t pass by without seeing it. The night before, we looked for the hostel phone number so we could call. So there we are, walking on the sideway, looking fr the St.Christopher International Hostel…after few minutes..still nothing…so we decide to call.

-Hi, we’re lost. We are on the corner of ABC Street and DEF Street( fictional names due to my lack of memory:P) Where are you?

- Did you see the yellow taxi? Did you see the yellow taxi?? (with a funny accent, as if mine was not…lol)

-Yes….

-Go in the direction it is coming from! I’ll be on your right, in the door!

-Ok thanks!

So we finally see the woman, a charming woman who listens to our story and accepts to not charge the previous night :D It seems like she actually saw us yesterday…in her driveway….!!! but because it was late, she did not come out!:O But seriously, even by foot, we did not find it so it was not that clear:P

We then reserved for the next night. Then we headed to the Zoo.

The animals are fantastic and so smart lol, my sister at some point, wondered if the gorillas were actually doing a show by executing a choreography!:P She said:

Véro: Coudons, i (ils) donnent [tu] un show ou quoi là? Une chorégraphie? :P
Me : Hahahaha! :P

(they were acting like a couple, I kid you not. So cute! The resemblance with us is quite amazing!)

4:43pm: We leave the Zoo to go eat in Little Italy. The waiter simply awesome, really nice guy J

8:00pm: We go back to the St.Christopher International Hostel( The owner told us that she chose St.Christopher because it he is the travellers’ Saint!)

Day 8

San Diego-Los Angeles

Wednesday, June 25th

10:50am: We take the road to LA!, passing by beautiful Newport Beach, the road being so close to the ocean less than an hour after we had left! :D

1:16pm: Huntington Beach! Yay! Beaches! So we spent the afternoon on the hot sand, trying to get a tan hehe

5:00pm: We leave and drive to our Hotel, the Venice Beach hotel! This area is amazing, so close to the water! So go eat and take a walk on Venice Beach Boardwalk ^^

10:00pm: We bring our luggage upstairs and sleeeep! We are 4 in the dorm, it’s a nice one though!:)

Day 8

Los Angeles

Thursday, June 26

8:30: We leave for Universal Studios and reserve for 3 more nights.

9:45: We are buying tickets to get in! I knew we could get free tickets there to attend Late Night Show with Jay Leno, but the available dates did not match with ours…:(

(Back to the Future)

(Fast and Furious)

(Westerns “trucage” doors: bigger for women so they would look small, and smaller ones for men, so they would look big!:O And you could never tell!:P )

(Desperate Housewives) my sister was like, the street looks so much bigger on TV! :P

(War of The Worlds)

(The Mummy hoooooo!)

(I made it! Hahahaha)

6:45pm: We leave to get back to Venice Beach, where our hotel is :P

8:00pm: We eat at a lovely restaurant, called Walkside, on the boardwalk. Later, I saw that restaurant in some TV shows lol, if I knew! :P

While we were waiting, I saw an Obama stand just feet from us, which would be next to the fence which surrounded the terrace. As a fan, I went to see what they were selling:P There were all sorts of things, mostly t-shirts, mugs, magnets, pins, and stickers. I bought a sticker: 3$US! The Obama: Hope one :P Then the guy asked my email so he could contact me for further information and voting, etc. but I told him I was not American…so he offered me the sticker FREE:P That made my day hehe

10pm: zzzzzz

@ Marilyne I can’t tell from the picture, is that a person acting like statue or is he actually a statue?

Venice Beach is awesome isn’t it?
For a second I forgot that you are doing a recap of your trip, not actually still traveling :D
