Living Life: Taylor (Another change Edition)

Soooo guess what! :) Today (sunday) I had this spur of the moment idea….. and I followed through with it in a matter of an hour… I pierced my nose. So weird, because I could never picture myself with one because I thought I didn’t have a good nose for one, but I guess I was wrong. Not such a big thing I guess… I could have pierced something completely outrageous, but I went for something completely normal. By the way it bled so much and is still bleeding EEKK. I feel like I’m always changing things about myself and I’ve figured out I’m pretty spur of the moment. I like to try new things… and as far as piercings and hair dying go… you can take out a piercing and you can let your hair grow out again and have everything normal again… I guess I’m just experimental in my looks, but not in an unhealthy way. Oh yeah…. My red streaks are going completely blonde and my red hair is going back to brown :D .

Another blog on change… I know :)
School continues to be way stressful and I’m starting Ap Art… did I tell you guys that already? I’m super stoked and on the way to getting into the art school that i want to go to. EEEKKK!!! I have sooo much homework and have had so much for the last week and I’ll be up till the crack of dawn tonight/this morning. Butttt…. every day I do school work… and every day of school I get through I’m one day closer to the weekend :) YAYYY! Who’s ready for summer?

Soooo conversational question:
Do any of you girls ever feel you change your appearance too much? How much changing your appearance is healthy and how much is unhealthy? Are there any certain aspects of yourself that you repeatedly change?

First, it looks good hehe!;)

Change…I recently cut my hair, and therefore changed of haircut and I would say it was a first in a couple of years lol. I’m not gutsy to change things a lot around me…which may be kinda boring, I don’t know, I like it that way I guess! :P and yeah, summer! Can’t waaait! :D Good luck by the way! ;)

Taylor thanks for this!

I like how you keep changing your looks and experimenting with your appearance! Some people are so gripped onto one look that they have to keep hold of it and as a result they’re sometimes afraid to change! A lot of the time though, change can be a good thing!
Recently I decided to dye my hair red (my hair is dark brown/black so it turned red/brown)…. I did that…. a week later I put a plum/black colour in it and now I love it! :D
I like changing things about myself! Buying different clothes that I wouldn’t normally wear, listening to new music, etc!

Personally I think I change my appearance a lot but not in an unhealthy way like you said!
One day I could be wearing converse and a trakcsuit and the next I could be all dressed up just because I want to be a little bit different all the time!
People who look at others and want to try and steal their look should try and come up with their own and see what they think. Being unique and different makes you feel really good about yourself! :D
I say to every girl here to try something different! Dye your hair… wear something different… start something new… do whatever you want! Just go mad and don’t follow the crowd! :D You’d be surprised how much fun it is and how good it feels! :D

Woah… that was a very long comment! :P Sorry… I tend to blab! :P

Thanks again Taylor! Awesome post!

Taylor I change my hair too don’t worry.
But however I’m too big a coward to pierce anything besides my ears. 8-) I know, dork.
But yeah….maybe I will now that you have.
Join the group. Or start one.
But changing ur appearance is neither bad or good…well its good.
I sort of see it as expressing yourself.
And expressing yourself is never bad. So pretty much my hair gets changed a lot. I’m just never satisfied with a hair color, but I don’t go dark mainly blonde or lighter.

I had my bellybutton pierced when I was 15 and just took it out a year ago when I was going surfing a lot because I heard a horror story about the piercing getting stuck in the surfboard wax and ripping out *OUCH!*
I used to change my hair all the time, red, brown, streaks, etc, but I’m happy with blonde now, so I mostly change how I dress, like Tracey said. If I feel like wearing a dress with cowboy boots one day, that’s what I do. I think changing your look is totally normal and part of figuring out who you are.

:O you had a belly button piercing Jen?! What are rebel! :P

Meh, I haven’t changed much my appearance as in like new clothes and different hair things and stuff, but lately I’ve been getting more….girly O_o Like painting my nails and shtuff. So weird, yet nice haha. So change has definitely been occurring just more subtle, I guess.

I think changing is just part of life, I don’t know how much is healthy or unhealthy. I guess as long as you keep changing but still deep down being the core person you are you’re fine.
If you get plugs, and tats and piercings and have hair the color of the hulk, but deep down your still the girl that liked unicorn horsies then who the heck cares? As long as your still you deep down inside :D

All this talk about change…Love it! :D

It’s really great that you’re changing and not afraid to try new things Tay. I think that’s part of life, in order to figure out who you are and all we have to try new things, right? But like you’ve said not in unhealthy ways. :)

@Tracey: I agree with not following with the crowd, :) it’s best for us to be who we are and try things that work for us!

@Binks: I can totally relate with you! My girlie side was always soo…silenced that I barely dressed up or even painting my nails but now, just like you I’m doing those things and experimenting different girlie styles in the hopes of finding the one that fits me!

As of changing my appearance too much, I don’t think I do because the changes I make aren’t as often or drastic. I think on the healthy and unhealthy it all depends what standards you use to consider something healthy/unhealthy. Concerning what I change most repeatedly? That would be hair and clothes LOL I don’t dye my hair but I do change my hairstyle a lot, now I have it short and since I like it, I think I’ll keep it that way :D On clothes? It just depends on what I find, I like the most random items I find, so…it all depends on what I find.

Awesome blog, Tay! Good luck with your Ap Art class!

That is awesome that you pierced your nose just like that I want to be more spur of the moment type of person it sounds so fun & free, I just don’t think I would have it in me to go do stuff like that to my hair the piercing yes. haha.

& Yay that’s awesome I hope you get into the school you want that sounds great that things are going so great. & yeah of course school wouldn’t be school without the day life stresses of it haha.

To answer your question: I don’t think I change my appearance that much I mean as far as I will go that I usually do is like bangs or something & layers but other than that I’m simple I LOVE long hair so I usually let me hair grow out not to a bad point that it looks like a mop….I take really good care of my hair but yeah I think maybe that’s as much as I usually do, I do however color my hair I am a brunette but I dye it black just because I think it fits me better & I like it better.

I think any change is healthy as long as your not doing stuff that is damaging to you or your body but I mean change is something everyone goes through especially when your growing into an adult, so I don’t know depends but it usually is all healthy.

I think the certain part of myself that I changed as far as physical appearance goes probably would be tattoos. I have 2 right now that you can see one on my ankle & one on my back on my shoulder blades & I still plan to get a few more that’s probably THE biggest change of myself I don’t know why I just love tattoos even though they aren’t considered good & whatnot I have always been a person to like things like that. & like you Taylor I like piercings as well I have my belly & I am planning on getting the tip of my ear on the scaffold so yeah I think as far as that goes that’s pretty much me.

Whooo that was a long ramble lol :D . Great post Taylor
