Helloww Everybody! We are going to be starting a new segment called “Street Style” which was thought up by Maia! WOOT!Everybody give a holla!

Basically, it’s You sharing pics and facts of the stylish girls roaming around Your town and struttin’ their stuff for the world to see, inspiring other fabulous ladies to flaunt their originality, too! How awesome is that?

Here are some words from Maia, along with Street Style pics she took of girls around the streets of Philly:

The opportunity of photographing various styles and ethnicities, especially associated with the quotes from those photographed is so meaningful for adolescent girls – in high school you are entering a building of standardization; tests, trends, college admissions, etc. and it’s difficult to support your own individuality – the people I photographed I think could be great style and self-empowerment
role models – they are diverse, thoughtful, and incredible women. They can show girls that they can have their own unique style and pull it off with confidence.

My friend, Katie, and I decided to hit up the streets of Philly on a hot, Friday afternoon, in search of confident, unique, and stylish young woman. We met some incredible folks, and when we asked Grace if she was following her dream (jewelry design) she corrected us, “I’m living it.” Live your dream GBD girls!

How ironic! While walking in Rittenhouse Square Park, a beautiful butterfly landed upon my clipboard of notes, right next to the GBD logo’s butterfly.
