Okay so this week, the blog post is going to be a bit more er uh…sadder than normal.
So this past Tuesday, I was watching C-Span….(Don’t ask me why *shrugs*)….I don’t know if you guys are aware of the whole “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. The “don’t ask, don’t tell” (DADT) policy bans openly gay, lesbian or bisexual Americans from enlisting in the military. Which, by the way, is absolutely ridiculous. Well, the Senate was going to vote to either keep it or repeal it. Anywho, they finally voted…and guess what happened?? Yup, that’s right. The Senate voted to repeal it! Can you believe that?! *disgusted face* I’m so saddened by this because of how ridiculous this is, it just makes me hate politics even more. And to top it all off, they lost by only a few votes (13 votes to be exact). It was a tight race with 56 opposed and 43 with.
What do you think about this whole “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. Do you think it’s just or unjust? Do you think that the senate was wrong to do this?

September 24, 2010I think its really unfair to be honest.. I think that if they want to fight for their country then they should be given the chance just like any other person would be.. Just because they have different “beliefs” in things doesn’t mean that they should be treated differently or treated as less of a person!! I would call for a re-vote!!!
