Kina Grannis Midwest Tour
By Jessica Fong
Hi all! I am back yet again. I apologize for the long hiatus, but school was keeping me busy [by the way I am done, so YEE-HAW!]. More importantly, I am back to inform you all of Kina’s Midwest Fall tour and to discuss my experience at the Vancouver, BC show. You can check out more details and purchase tickets on the Kina Grannis website. Through the month of November, she will be playing in cities within Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, among many other Midwest locations.
At the beginning of her fall tour this past September, Kina came up to Vancouver, BC [which is where I currently reside]! This was her first time ever playing in Vancouver. I was nervous about turnout. My worries soon disappeared as this sign was posted at the front door, in front of a long line of people:

The crowd LOVED Kina! I was the first person in line, so I was able to get front row standing position. I got to take a lot of up-close photos and videos, which I would love to share with you GBD-ers. Kina’s opening act was a guy called Imaginary Friend. He was so awesome and blew the crowd away! [You can follow him on twitter at @imaginarytweets. You can also purchase his album on iTunes Here]. My words wouldn’t do him justice, so I will just include the video I took.

I wanted to share a video of one of my most favorite songs by Kina. It’s called Message from Your Heart. Needless to say, the crowd loved the song and it is clearly evidenced by the masses singing along! It makes my heart happy.

The line to meet and greet Kina was long, but very well worth it. I was overjoyed to see that everyone wanted to meet her. I REALLY loved the show! It was so good to see Kina again live! But, you really need to experience it yourself. I will end on a beautiful note. Here is a video of Kina singing a rap song . Yes! You read that correctly! She pulls this off beautifully, that’s just how talented this songstress is. KINA COME BACK SOON!
