Halloween!

Ahhh! It’s going to be Halloween already. Sheesh, time sure does fly. Sooo, how will y’all be spending it?

I regretfully report that this Halloween will mark my turn into junior fossil dust. Or fossil dust in training if you will. I of course expect to have a full breakdown and end up in some trauma-induced coma, which should be interesting, considering the fact that I will be crammed into a theater with a bunch of Rocky Horror fanatics. Yiiiikes.
Please don’t let me faint on some hairy person in fishnets. Cross your fingers! Ahhh!

And in an attempt to completely wipe what I just typed from your memory, I want you peeps to tell me what you’re going to be for Halloween, your favourite movie to watch this time of year and how you like to celebrate the most awesome of all days. Go!

Hocus Pocus is definitely one of my favorites to watch, and any other scary movies that I can get my hands on!
I won’t be dressing up, but volunteering at a kids halloween event.
Happy almost b-day G, being fossil dust isn’t all that bad ;) Hey if you get bit by a vampire this Halloween you can stay a junior fossil dust for the rest of eternity lol

Well I decided to dress up as a football player.. I borrowed a my friends uniform which thankfully smells good!! And I honestly don’t know what movie I’m gna watch with my friends, I guess we’ll find out and what we do is becoming a tradition now!!

We started it two years ago where we stay at one of our houses and hand out candy but we have to scare the trick-or-treaters that come to the house.. and however many people we scare is how many houses we get to go to! Its sounds pretty dumb but its a fun process that you have to try!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie! Seriously, watching Hocus Pocus every halloween is a tradition for me. One of my favorite parts of the holiday. :)

As for plans, I have absolutely no idea what to do yet! Or what to dress up as! Does anyone have any suggestions for a costume??

This year we are having a huge Halloween party for Marcus and his little friends at Gymboree! He is going as either Thomas the Train or a Cow Boy:)…I am going as a pirate.

Today we are carving pumpkins and decorating…weeeee!

In France, Halloween is not celebrated a lot. It’s not a tradition like Christmas. Maybe because it’s a pagan celebration. Even if I don’t celebrate it, I like Halloween because it’s an opportunity to be a child again! :) But I never was in an haunted house. Why not, with some friends?! lol My favorite movies would be Disney cartoons with magic and ghosts. lol I’m well surprised that, in a more and more technological, economic and political world, such celebration (and movies with magic, vampires and ghosts) still exists (and sometimes are successful). For me, it’s a good balance for Imagination! :) Imagination is more important than knowledge… A.Einstein

In France, they celebrate a holiday called Les bonbon de votre vie, in English The Candy of Your Life, I learned this in my French class. Students get this week off, while the adults get this day off.

I love that movie, Hocus Pocus!!!!! I was Little Red Riding Skunk! I had a red hood, skunk tails and ears. My friends had saved me from a night of homework!!!!! Thank goodness I was dying of boredom! Hmmm . . . my favorite movie would probably be The Addams Family!!! They are a classic!
