Christmas! By Susy

It’s finally here! Christmas. Well technically it’s in 2 days but still, can you believe it? I feel it was just yesterday that I was writing the blog about Thanksgiving, now it’s X-mas….wow it’s kind of crazy how fast time goes isn’t it?

Is it just me, or does it feel like it’s going to fast? *shrugs* It might just be me, but regardless have you guys done your shopping, if you are like me….which is a procrastinator, you probably waited till the last minute. I already got everything I need just one more present to go and I am done.

Well I wanted to write, and tell you about my Christmas tradition that me and my family have each year. Well, first off I should tell you that me and my family don’t open presents on Christmas day BUT instead on Christmas eve…aka tomorrow. Well we make dinner and have a great feast, after that we play games ( like trivia ), but if you guess wrong you can’t open a present. Anywho, after that we spend time with each other just hanging out, and then on Christmas day, we go watch a new movie that came out…this year it’s Tron.

So do you ladies have traditions on Christmas that you and your family do?

Blog away Ladies :)

Hey Suzy!

Well since I am commenting here days after your post I have to agree that Christmas has been a bit busy…I had a lot of last minute things to buy! I love holiday traditions and now that I have started a family of my own we are creating new traditions, and its tons of fun!

Next year when Marcus is 3 I am hoping our on going NEW tradition will be a Christmas eve celebration where Santa come to the door with one present for all the kids…tee hee! This year was fun as Marcus is 2 and he really got into the Christmas spirit of giving and receiving:).

Now things are winding down and we are all excited for the new year :)

@Kendra – Aww sounds like such a beautiful and fun tradition. Haha sounds like Marcus had tons of fun. I love that about Christmas, that you get this amazing warm feeling when you are with your family and you create these great traditions and just have fun with the ones you love.

I can’t wait to hear how it is for you next year with little Marcus. :)

In Australia, most of our traditions just involve going to the beach or going swimming.

This year in Australia it was too hot to swim so we just stayed under the AC. We mostly open our presents early in the morning (i.e. 4 a.m. this year!)

Yours is a really great tradition Susy. Very family-oriented. I might have to see if I can get that ball rolling in my family!
