Amazing Girls in Our Lives

(**upside down exclamation point that I can’t figure out) Hola Chicas!

Have you ever had a horrible week? I’m not just talking about a week where you step in a puddle and ruin your shoes, I’m talking about a god-awful, no good, spoiled, rotten, smelly, miserable, terrible week.

This week was a bad one to say the least. I don’t know why it was so god awful. Bad karma? Maybe. PMS? no, not this time at least. Hormones? Nahh. School? Possibly. Family? Sure. My torn pair of pants? A bit. The zit the size of my face? Sorta.

I was so irritable. I went crazy on everyone. A freshman hit me with his backpack *by accident* and I wanted to attack him (I didn’t). Crazy right? Everyday afterschool on my way home I cried the whole way while listening to this.

Lovely song, and perfect for crying. Dramatic? I know! The only reason survived this week was because of my incredible friends. Yes, sometimes you need your family, or your boyfriend, but sometimes you just need your best gals.

To my dearest friends, thank you for your support. To Gabby for your artistic love and beautiful perspective, to Elaine for your unique humor, to Meggie for your optimism and spirit lifting photography, and to Emma for your positive guidance from hundreds of miles away.

For all of you lovely ladies reading this, today I task you with this- “be there for your friends today (if you’re already there for them, be EXTRA there for them), you never know how much it could mean. Also, if you ever have a day that is so horrible that you think you can’t go on, just think that tomorrow is another day.”

sometimes in our life…specially during our darkest hours/day,it is easy for us to look for the people that we called “friends”(pals/bff/gal pals..& what so ever you call that..hahaha) to pour out our hearts to them instead of going to/approach any of your family members, just to listen to you..i honestly agreed with the fact that “FRIENDS are much more approachable, best advisers & good listener” they’re always there to cheer you up to boost up your confidence..& we always treasure them like a “GEM” we never conclude them as a friend only but we cherish them as a part of our family like a sister… :-)

i totally agree!! this year especially i have realized that i have the most incredible friends. and what holds true for me is something my dad has been telling me for years and that is that you can always have hundreds of acquaintances (people you are friendly with) but when you have those one or two best friends, they are the people who are really matter.

That is so inspiring!! I don’t have many terrible weeks, but when I do, it’s the worst!! And, yeah, sometimes you can’t blame it on PMS (Much as you’d like to!)

But your totally right. Tomorrow is another day. I have an inspirational saying, it’s a little weird though and it’s by Rilke:

“A person isn’t who they were during the last conversation you had with them- it’s who they’ve always been.”

But in this case, just because you had a bad day, just think about all the sunny ones in your past and ahead of you.

If you get what I mean. Basically, you can’t base the weather on how it is now, but how it’s been every other day. Just roll with me on this one…
