Natural Disasters

Hi Ladies,
Wow, there have been a lot of natural disasters lately. Last year there was the earthquake in Haiti and then there was an earthquake in Chile, flooding in Australia, and yet another earthquake in New Zealand. To make matters worse, there was an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.9 followed by a massive tsunami in Japan last week. Japan uses nuclear reactors as their energy sources. Because of the quake and the tsunami, the reactors are very unstable and if no one can find a way to cool them down, a massive amount of radiation will be let out and a lot of people will be affected. One big question that came up is why Japan would use nuclear reactors when their country was devastated by atomic bombs during world war 2. It turns out that when Americans came back Japan to help rebuild it after the war, they set up the reactors. Personally, I don’t think there is a specific country to blame, but some people wonder if it is the United State’s fault for installing them in the first place, or Japan’s fault for allowing them to be built.
This particular disaster has made me worried because I have relatives and friends in Japan. Luckily they do not live in the area that was destroyed, but it is still a scary thing to think about. What I found interesting is that although I am half Japanese, I identify with my American side more because that is the way in which I grew up. But when I heard about the quake, it struck a more personal chord– maybe because Japan is still the place that I come from to a certain extent.
Thoughts on Japan?

I think that we should watch our actions and think about the consequences before we install things including nuclear reactors. Anything can happen.
I am devastated by all these natural disasters. I love New Zealand and Japan. I want to visit both countries, but after the radiation in Japan, I am cautious about the places I want to travel to.

Queens,

I know this was addressed to girls, but I usually have to say this just to make sure you understand I’m not trying to displace your place of “heaven sent”. I know its a covenant of “girls by design”, so I hope you don’t mind as I pass by…

I think these words of yours should be catapulted and broad-casted to the sky above, they need to be heard, and well I hear you loud and clear. This nuclear catastrophe is a sign of “dystrophic” harmony, it’s not needed, the alternate energies available for us can be better “chemically”. Yet, we sit here caught up in this three ring circus, and hopefully as you all as the Ringmasters, we can actually have a world to safely and happily clown around in…

Peace on Earth is what I see when you girls and hopefully your guys’ grow and take over, I’ll gladly sit on the couch and enjoy your show.

Actresses and Actors we are all, so let’s play our part, and make sure this movie has the happiest scenes, and I’d rather not see it ending.

Peace to the Japanese in all of us…

I know what you mean. In these situations where both sides have committed such monumental acts of stupidity, it’s hard to play the blame-game. But I actually see that as a positive. I think all the countries should stop pointing fingers and try and aid Japan as much as possible, with as little, and no, condescension if possible.
