Do Good: Feed Bags
In spirit of yesterday being Earth Day, this post is all about the incredible and inspirational ventures of Feed bags! I stumbled upon Feed bags a couple of years ago when they were being sold at Whole Foods. I thought the design was super cute, and even cooler was the cause. The bags are the main component to the Feed foundation’s commitment to eliminate world hunger.
What started as just a few bags targeting just a few villages has progressed into a full-fledged movement, providing 60,226,680 meals to date with half a million bags sold. When you buy a Feed bag, the number printed on the bag typically represents the amount of meals you are providing with your purchase or the duration of meals with your purchase. For example, one Feed Kenya bag is made by female Kenyan artisans and provides a year’s worth of school meals for two children!
There are tons of ways to get involved with the fight to end world hunger! You can purchase Feed bags at various locations as well as online, check out: http://www.feedprojects.com/the-bags
