Revolutionary Jasmine

This morning, while enjoying a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of steaming green tea, I watched an INSANELY interesting video clip from the New York Times. Maybe some of you know about this, but to me this news tid-bit seems like it has been pretty hush-hush. While revolutions are taking place all over the world, (Egypt, Libya, etc.) I was completely unaware that one was about to take place in China!! Someone began a revolution attempt to change the pretty dominating and oppressive government. The name for the revolution would be Jasmine, inspired by the Tunisia revolution. The Chinese government found out about this and pretty much went CRAZY. They blocked the word jasmine on the internet, you couldn’t even send a text message with the word jasmine. (Big Brother anyone?) They also completely blocked the sale of jasmine, which is horrible for the farmers who rely on those sales to provide food for their families.

Thoughts??

Check out the video!
