So I saw this on one of the top news, and I just had to write about it. It is quite funny, and I was shocked by some of the really weird names. So I’ll name down the list.

9 – Sandwich Landing, New Hampshire, USA

8 – Buttzville, New Jersy, USA

7 – Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico, USA

6 – Frankenstein, Missouri, USA

5 – Toad Suck, Arkansas, USA

4 – Looneyville, Texas, USA

3 – Monkeys Eyebrow, Kentucky, USA

2 – No Name, Colorado, USA

and the number 1 all time weird name *drum roll*

1 – Boring, Oregon, USA

So there you go, aren’t those just some weird names? I would hate to live in any of those, because if you were asked “Where do you live?” you would have to say that, and it would be weird explaining that lol.

Do you live in a place with a weird name? Or do you know of anymore?

“weird explaining that”

Usually the names are never that funny or embarrassing at first, its only after many years that the natives speak it in different ways and the most common one becomes the name. So if in a town that has a name you don’t want to say, say the one that resembles it, regardless of it being right or wrong.

I live in Karachi, Pakistan. It used to be Kolachi but later was changed to Karachi. Don’t know if the government of the time gave any reason for it or not but Karachi has a port and Kolachi resembles a lot with two urdu words ‘ko’ and ‘lanch’ which mean ‘to’ and ‘yacht/boat’.

So was Kolachi ever Kolanchi or some other name? don’t know but sure enough it does causes confusion or may be it did and thus was changed to Karachi.

Haha those are awesome guys. And thanks :) .

It was Caity but we took it off because I think that it’s too ‘mature’ word and most of the girls who read stuff here are a bit younger.
