What was your Most Memorable Summer Moment?

With fall, and for some, a new school year quickly approaching – the end of summer is always significant. From lazy days spent at the beach to indulging in creamy ice cream and backyard BBQ’s. What was your favorite part of summer 2011? Any cool vacations? Accomplishments?

I think my most memorable summer moment was probably when I was on Kauai. I kayaked to an isolated little beach and saw a beautiful sea turtle come onto the shore for a nap in the sun. It was incredible, the turtle represented such history and the magic of the ocean. Later that day a local told me sea turtles bring good luck.

OK…
MY most memorable moment: I travelled to the US for the first time this summer – by myself too (to visit family) & my oh my did I have such an incredible time. I have the best family in the world, so inspiring & welcoming, I’m really thankful for their lives… also the friends I made & the people I met too. Honestly, even though it was 2 months ago, it feels like I’ve been away for years though I remember it like yesterday…

I miss the BLUE skies & the open roads *sigh* I’m craving to go back so badly… I enjoyed an evening at the harbour watching the sun set & spending time with my niece & nephew by this imitation waterfall… so nice!
I think this trip also contributed to a lot of aspects of my being & things I’m discovering about myself so yeah…

I’m originally from London btw!

most memorable moment…
i have a lot this summer but if i had to choose one it would be about a week ago. my whole dads side of the family owns a summer house on the long island sound and each family shares the house by everyone coming on weekends and then each of the eight familys gets one week during the summer so i was invited to come out on my cousins wee, last week, and we wanted travel across the bay to the ocean but the boat needed gas. so my aunt took my dads boat, which he had left, and me and my cousins courtney, maggie and my sister delia decided to go with her on the boat. long story short the boat ran out of gas for the first time in my memory and we were stuck in the middle of an inlet for 2 hours waiting for someone to come get us. i know, its boring, but it was the first time that i have really talked with my aunt maria and we, my cousins and i, learned about the grandmother we never got to meet. it was 2 hours i will never forget. its funny how the most simple memories are the ones we remember best.

My most memorable moment was also the most heroic, romantic-ish, funniest, scariest and finally saddest (a tad) of my summer! I shall explain. So I was taking the train home and this random guy came up to me started talking to me, he eventually asked me out on a date and me not into and scared of this stranger I said no thank you. To avoid dealing with him I get off the train 2 stops before mine, and what does he do? He follows me and won’t leave me alone! And this is all creepy. I text my guy friend and sorta my crush (i’m kinda his crush too, honest) to meet me cuz he lives right next to the station I got off at. So he saved me haha by pretending to be my boyfriend and told the guy to basically to go away, which he did. It was the first time we’ve seen each other since grad(in june)We decided to get a slurpee lol and then he later got on the train with me to my actual stop to make sure I was safe. During the ride we had a good laugh looking back at our high school years and how much we missed each other and how much we never were able to hang out lol. The sad part was that the next day he was leaving to another city for university. And also the fact that all of this happened in like 20mins. When it comes to me and this boy haha rushing is a no no! haha

Our time may not have lasted long together but it was really fun, minus the creepy guy!! Lol then I called him later and told him that I liked him hahaha and then I hung up out of embarrassment!
Yupp most memorably for me so far cuz all I do is work! Sorry if this is long
