Hi GBD!  I just moved into my first college apartment after three years of living in the dorms.  It’s nice having your own kitchen and plenty of living space, although I have to admit that I’m homesick for the first time in four years of college.  Watching my parents leave has never been painful before, so why was it so hard this time?  Perhaps it was because I have finally left the comfort and security of the familiar (the dorms) and lack the excitement I had when I first moved into the dorms that masked my nervousness. Planning out my grocery shopping, clipping coupons, and cooking for myself sure seems challenging!

For those of you who are currently in or are just heading off to college away from home, how is it going?  Is life away from the nest treating you well?
